What are Facial Fillers?

Facial fillers contain Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that helps maintain skin hydration and elasticity.

They are categorised as Lip Fillers and Dermal Fillers.

As we age, our natural supply of Hyaluronic Acid diminishes, resulting in sagging skin, dullness, and deeper wrinkles, including thinner lips.

Facial Fillers replenish this lost Hyaluronic Acid, restoring volume to the skin for a smoother, more rejuvenated look. Since Hyaluronic Acid is a natural component of the body, it’s considered safe with minimal risk.

Will the filler injections hurt?

Fillers can be more painful than Botox® injections depending on the procedure. Facial fillers cause minimal pain however, lip filler is known to be quite painful. For this we use topical numbing cream and administer filler that contains lidocaine to help with further pain relief.

When will I notice results?

Results are instantaneous with fillers. There may be some swelling and bruising initially which will worsen for a couple of days before settling completely by day 7-14.

How long do results last?

Results typically last for 9 months. At this point you may notice some volume loss until eventually the filler is completely absorbed.
